Events to look out for in 2020:-

Currently Closed due to LOCK DOWN

The Trustees have taken the decision not to re-open the community centre until the country is out of Lock-down and it is safe to do so. a This means that all services and activities are suspended.

As soon as it is safe to re-open, we will notify you of the date on this website.

The Trustees of Northgate Ward Development Group wish a Very Happy New Year to friends, supporters and members of Northgate Centre

    Measures taken when open

The Centre has been adapted to accommodate safety measures including Social Distancing and the wearing of masks. Staff can provide you with a mask if you have not got one; non contact temperature taking will be carried out when you come into the Centre. If you feel unwell with any of the Co-vid symptoms - please do not come to the Centre

We will also require a name and contact number in case of tracing. There are now perspex screens and anti- bacterial hand dispensers for use.

The Centre is also employing an extra member of staff to clean and to anti bacterial spray chairs, tables etc. during the day.

The staff will help you in any way they can if you are at all concerned, but we believe that we have put good safety measures in place - in line with an overall risk assessment which you can ask for a copy of if you wish to read it.

The Cafe is under new management and can offer Tea, Coffee, Soft Drinks and Snacks as well as a daily hot meal. The cafe manager will have days off from time to time and the full menu will not be available, however Centre staff will help you with drinks and snacks.

The Help Desk is open from 10.00 am to 12 noon, but is

    Strictly by Appointment Only

Bookable half hour appointments on any issues such as: - Housing, Arrears, Benefit Entitlement, Employment, Older Persons Support, Admin, CV writing, Form Filling in, On-line Utility comparisons etc.
